All software, documentation and hardware released by MNT Research so far is
licensed under a DFSG-free license -- except for its logo. To prevent misuse
by bad actors and to be able to enforce the fact that the mark has to clearly
identify electronics made only by MNT Research to comply with WEEE, the
company logo is licensed under the terms of the non-commercial creative
commons license CC-BY-NC-4.0. See also here for the brand registry:

To comply with DFSG, the non-free logo has been removed from other packages
like reform-tools and reform-handbook. The logo is part of this package in
various formats and installing this package will allow one to replicate a
vanilla system as provided by MNT. This is, instead of placeholder images,
the actual MNT logo will be displayed in the documentation or in the
default desktop setup.
